JOB SUMMARY
BCD Engineering Ltd. is looking for a Passivation Supervisor who will lead one of our onsite Passivation teams. The successful applicant would be embedded within one of our existing teams for a period of 3-6 months so he/she can learn the processes and procedures required. After this training period, the passivation supervisor would assume control of his/her own passivation team of 3-5 passivation technicians
PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities.
Lead a passivation team of 3-5 technicians.
Liaise with client site teams to set up projects on site.
Liaise with client site teams to walkdown systems on site pre and post passivation.
Contribute to preparation of EHS documentation before the project starts and ensure all EHS requirements are complied with on site.
Drive the team to achieve time, cost and quality deliverables as set out by the Passivation Manager.
Troubleshooting of problems and issues as they arise on site. Escalation to the Passivation manager as needed.
Using instruments to take required measurements on site, pH, conductivity, temperature, pressure etc.
Working with engineers and passivation manager to complete all required documentation.
Identify continuous improvements opportunities where possible and take part in improvement projects as assigned to include by not limited to Safety or Quality related.
Complete all identified training and development activities as required.
Carry out additional duties that may be assigned to you.
Education & Experience
- Experience working in live pharmaceutical plants is a necessity.
- Experience with stainless steel systems, valves, fittings, pipework etc. is a necessity.
- Experience following P&IDs on site and walkdown of various systems.
- Applicants must be willing to take responsibility for driving your team to complete projects on time and budget and to the required quality and documentation standards.
- Applicants must be willing to travel extensively within Ireland. A substantial amount of our projects will involve significant travel and staying away from home for the duration of projects.
- A trade qualification (Welder / Fitter / Plumber) would be beneficial but not essential.
- Previous experience leading a team as a chargehand or foreman would be beneficial.
- Have the confidence to liaise with clients, engineers, plant operators etc.
- Good written and verbal communication skills. Experience with GDP, completing test packs etc. would be beneficial
- Self-starter / Use of own initiative.
- High energy level and motivation.
- Excellent problem-solving ability and attention to detail.
- An excellent standard of attendance and time keeping.
